About the Call For Projects
CAMPO is charged with selecting projects to receive funding in the region under Federal Highway Administration Surface Transportation Program Metropolitan Mobility (STP MM). CAMPO began conducting a Call for Projects - Phase 1 in May 2011 for projects to award this funding competitively to projects in the region.

In June 2011, with the passage of H.B. 1 in the Texas Legislature, MPOs have been similarly charged with programming funding from the issue of bonds authorized under Propsition 12. CAMPO has launched a Call for Projects – Phase 2 to receive applications to competitively fund projects under applicable sections of Proposition 12.

Eligible Phase 1 project application will be considered for STP MM and Proposition 12 funding, while eligible Phase 2 project applciations will only be considered for Proposition 12 funding. A public hearing for both phases of the Call for Projects will be on September 26th and both phases will be considered concurrently by the CAMPO Transportation Policy Board at its October 10th meeting

NOTE: Proposition 12 also includes $91 million for the TxDOT-Austin District to fund eligible rehabilitation and safety projects, which may include added capacity projects. The CAMPO Transportation Policy Board will provide input to TxDOT regarding the selection of projects with the CAMPO region at its September 12th meeting.
