San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the City of San Marcos are partnering on the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study to identify and plan for future needs and recommend improvements along three key roadways in the area.

Study Area Updates-R3d

The San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study will evaluate Guadalupe Street (SH 123), Hopkins Street (SH 80), and a potential north/south thoroughfare east of IH-35 and propose ideas for future development and transportation improvements. These concepts will focus development and redevelopment at important centers such as the downtown area, the Medical Center, and the City Government complex.

GET INVOLVED

To comply with social distancing guidelines, public participation and commenting will take place remotely. The Virtual Open House was available from August 31, 2020 - October 12, 2020. To see all materials from the open house, visit the study website SMTXStudy.com.
A second round of public input is anticipated for April 2021 and will gather feedback on potential ideas, concepts, and improvements for the activity centers and transportation corridors. More details, including official dates and how to participate, will be available on this webpage and at SMTXStudy.com.

If you would like to sign up to receive study updates and notification of future commenting opportunities, email info@smtxstudy.com.
