The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the City of San Marcos are partnering on the San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study to identify and plan for future needs and recommend improvements along three key roadways in the area.
The San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study will evaluate Guadalupe Street (SH 123), Hopkins Street (SH 80), and a potential north/south thoroughfare east of IH-35 and propose ideas for future development and transportation improvements. These concepts will focus development and redevelopment at important centers such as the Downtown and Midtown neighborhoods, the Medical Center, and/or the City Government complex.
Public involvement will play a key role in shaping the study. San Marcos Transportation Corridors Study efforts will take place over the Spring and Fall of 2020 and incorporate a broad range of perspectives and input.
To comply with social distancing guidelines, public participation and commenting will take place remotely. The Virtual Open House was available from August 31, 2020 - October 12, 2020. To see all materials from the open house, visit the study website SMTXStudy.com. If you would like to sign up to receive study updates and notification of future commenting opportunities, email email@example.com.
