Regional Funding Public Comment Opportunity

The Texas Department of Transportation recently announced the availability of additional funding for transportation improvements from a variety of sources including cost under runs on other projects, additional anticipated Federal revenues and extra borrowing.

CAMPO and its regional partners met several times and determined that the MoPAC Improvement Project is the only project that meets the criteria outlined by TxDOT. Therefore, the CAMPO Transportation Policy Board is considering a request to add $130 million to the MoPAC Improvement Project and $6.583 million to develop transportation projects to prepare the region for future funding opportunities. FAQ's or to ask a question please post on the CAMPO facebook page.

Growth Monitoring Report

The NEW and UPDATED 2006 to 2010 Growth Monitoring Report is part of CAMPO's efforts to monitor population growth in our region. Building and septic permits collected from cities, counties and utility districts were geocoded in GIS to produce layers showing locations of new residences, businesses, and demolition sites. This process has allowed CAMPO to examine the distributions of growth in the region; to establish the baseline of growth for trend and comparative analyses; and to analyze the variations of growth in relation to growth and infrastructure investment policies in the region.
