Fact Sheet

What the Study Will Accomplish

CAMPO and TxDOT used public input and technical evaluations to develop proposed improvements to FM 973. The study included an analysis of current and projected traffic volumes, existing and future land use, crash hotspots, environmental features, and needs and concerns identified by stakeholders and the public. The analysis and community input were used to identify and design future improvements and complete an environmental analysis.

Public Involvement

Community input played a key part of this study. An in-person open house was held Thursday, August 21, 2025 and an online open house and commenting was also available. Read the open house summary and public comments received during the comment period.
